Glubble Family Edition is a free parental control suite for Firefox. It aspires to help extend the appeal and adoption of Firefox to families of elementary school age children.

Glubble Family Edition enables parents to provide a protected, fun and educational web surfing experience for their youngsters based around co-browsing collaboration with their family social circle.

With the Glubble Add-on for Firefox installed, parents and family members collectively decide what their children can see online.

Set up is as easy as choosing which "Glubbles" to activate, they are like bubbles of pre-selected areas of the web that family members can freely modify to create a personalized protected web for their young ones based on their own values and culture.

People may install and use the free Glubble service on as many Firefox browsers they choose.

Moreover, the software`s "Userbar" enables roaming capabilities using a new browser personalization engine from Glaxstar that effectively turns Firefox into a multi-user browser linking family members across live browsing sessions and enabling children to `ask a helper` for permission to see new sites on-the-fly.

Glubble Family Edition is designed to be flexible and fun for the whole family to use with things like the family wall page where kids can `wall it` to other family members plus the new Glubbles Library makes it easy for parents to choose which areas of the web they deem suitable for their children, from this point on family members can grow their young childs web by adding sites from any Firefox browser as easily as browsing to a site and clicking the +Add button, while children can ask for new sites from any family helper at any time.

For Children, Glubble dynamically changes Firefox`s look and feel when they use it, maximizing their computer monitor area in full screen mode while they freely discover new webpages and sites online within their Glubbles that are editorially tagged to enable them to discover `similar" age appropriate websites.

They can also freely search Google while parents can rest assured that the Glubble add-on alters Google results on-the-fly to only return websites that are within their family approved Glubbles.

Glubble Family Edition is a whole new world of assisted discovery for youngsters and initial reactions from parents are very positive indeed.

If you love Firefox then please help us spread Glubble to as many families with young children possible. Please tell all the Dads, Moms, Aunts, Uncles, Grandparents, older cousins and siblings you know with a family member of elementary school age that they should get Firefox and check out Glubble for themselves.

Here are some key features of "Glubble Family Edition":

· New Child Homepage with Family Messaging
· With one simple click on a button your child opens the Glubble library where all the Glubbles you have approved are collected. Each Glubble is uniquely identified with a picture which your child will find easy to remember. Selecting a Glubble will open the links to featured web sites that are all thumbnailed to help your child to choose the web site of their choice.

· Glubble library and thumbnails
· The star button right next to the web address bar allows your child to easily bookmark a site as a favorite. All they have to do is press the star button and the page they are looking at gets added to their favorite thumbnail bar.

· New way to bookmark favorite sites
· The star button right next to the web address bar allows your child to easily bookmark a site as a favorite. All they have to do is press the star button and the page they are looking at gets added to their favorite thumbnail bar.

· The web`s window is bigger!
· We`ve made the child browser bar much thinner so children can see as much of the web page possible without scrolling. When your child uses Firefox now with their Userbar tab it will automatically operate in full-screen mode, which means that they can see as much screen area as your monitor will permit. Take a look, we hope your child likes it.

· Better and safe search engine results
· In our experience most children want to be a bigger children and grow into trusted independence by experiencing the act of discovery for themselves. The search engine augmentation feature enables them to use world famous search engines like Google on their own while you remain safe in the knowledge that they can only find things that they are allowed to see!

· Easy to ask for approval to open new sites
· Whenever your child hits a link or submits an URL to a web site or page within a web site that you did not approve Glubble blocks the request and opens a message panel for your child to ask for approval or to return to their homepage. Your child can even add a message to you (or any other helper in their group) whenever they request the ability to see a new website. They can clearly select who they want to ask by clicking on a helper`s name.

· Unique site request response mechanism
· If your child asks you for permission to see a new web site (that is not already included in their Glubbles collection) then you`ll see a new message appear in your Firefox browser while online - even when youre at the office or logged into another network - you can reply right away or decide to reply later. You will even see an event history of every request from your child on your homepage along with a history for each response made by each of your child`s helpers.

· Free trusted content from Glubble for you
· Games, coloring pages, famous cartoon characters, music, audio books, educational games, pet care, animals and even space shuttles can all be found with the links that our editorial team has hand-picked as trusted and safe content for children. All links to web sites are categorized in Glubbles and thumbnailed to help your child to navigate and find what it likes to do online and off line.
