Mail Detective 1.0

Mail Detective helps you decide if that email you got in your inbox is valid or scam by trying to trace the geographical origin of an email`s sender. Simply drag an email message from your mail client onto Mail Detective`s window or app icon and the app shows you the country and -- if possible -- the city this message was sent from. If your mail client does not support drag and drop of mail messages, you can use the built-in system service or copy and paste raw message source text into the app.

Mail clients known to support drag and drop email messages:
- Airmail
- Apple Mail
- Mail Pilot
- Outlook 2011
- Postbox

Mail clients capable of displaying raw message source text:
- Thunderbird
- Unibox

Note that Mail Detective requires an active internet connection in order to work.
